Department: Sustainability

**Responsibilities**:

- You define and improve sustainability processes that meet assurance requirements and generate high quality data. The processes in scope include (but are not limited to) greenhouse gas emissions, life-cycle analyses, and risk / opportunity assessments.
- You generate insights from the data processes for use in setting Group strategic priorities, making business decisions, and monitoring progress towards targets. You support the communication of these insights to customers and other internal and external stakeholders.
- You communicate and work with cross-functional teams to secure proactive engagement and ensure that different perspectives are incorporated into process design and data generation.
- You identify, coordinate, and work with external consultants and partners, both to execute new projects and conduct established processes.
- You maintain clearly documented process methods and data handling rules for sustainability processes. You support audits where required, and address findings by updating our internal procedures and practices.
- You lead multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver successful outcomes.
- You curate your sustainability knowledge to remain up to date with current and emerging best practices and regulations. You join webinars and events, monitor industry approaches, and leverage your network. You bring that knowledge into new and improved processes as necessary. You support the education of internal employees on sustainability issues.

Decision making

You have the authority to decide how best to implement best practice guidance, including how to classify and consolidate Elementis internal data, what emission factors to apply, and how best to implement / improve a specific process. You can also make decisions related to project execution, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation within budget.

You have significant input to recommendations for which external frameworks and practices to utilise, which external consultants to contract with, and which software platforms can add the most value. You can also input into the Group’s future sustainability targets.

Higher-level approvals are required for significant budget allocations, strategic shifts, or major collaborations that have substantial financial or long-term implications.

Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Advanced understanding of greenhouse gas emission accounting rules, including the GHG Protocol Corporation Standard, FLAG emissions and emission factor databases such as Ecoinvent.
