The Team:
The Role
- Hiscox is searching for an individual to join our Europe Application Support team as an Application Support Analyst in our Lisbon office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Incident & Problem Management- Manage the resolution of operational incidents to restore service as soon as possible and minimize business disruption;Act as a single point of contact during incidents, providing effective and timely communication to impacted stakeholders;-
- Prepare post-incident reports that communicate the full extent and impact of service disruptions as well as remedial actions;-
- Gather and document root cause analysis and preventative actions for major or recurring incidents.- Operations & Service Delivery Maintain and execute a number of standard operational processes such as User Management, User Recertification and scheduling of Penetration tests.- Knowledge Management- Support the transition of IT projects from delivery to operational readiness via support model definition and knowledge transition activities.- Person Specification:

- Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on the ability to express complex technical issues in language suitable for business stakeholders;-
- Understanding of basic Service Management concepts - Incident & Problem Management, Change Management, Request Fulfilment etc.-
- General knowledge of software development and deployment principles, database management, middleware, and server configuration;-
- Comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, including representatives of other IT teams, management and 3rd-party suppliers;Basic knowledge on any major Cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud etc.);- Desirable skills:
- Experience as an advocate for Support involvement throughout the software developed lifecycle;-
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and/or basic knowledge on any Azure technologies;-
- ITIL certification or exposure;-
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries and create custom reports. Knowledge of SSRS or Tableau will be an advantage;-
- Familiar using monitoring tools (e.g.: Dynatrace, Splunk, Synthetic monitoring, etc. );-
