**What you'll do**

As Automation Development Associate you will become a member of our new growing EMEA location in Portugal and work closely together with our globally acting automation team members from Germany, India and Mexico. Your task will be to support the automation team in developing workflows and scripts that can later on be executed on operating system level within SAP's upcoming cloud platforms. This includes:

- Interest to learn about workflow & custom process creation within SAP LAMA (Landscape Management)
- Work with Github as our source code management tool
- Writing & modifying scripts in Pyhton
- Making use of remote APIs offered by IAAS cloud providers like Microsoft Azure
- Work agile in a motivated global team using Jira & Kanban
- Deepen & use your scripting knowledge on Linux OS
- Help to investigate automation possibilities for new SAP technology components on BTP & Kubernetes
- Have the option to use common DevOPS tools like Jenkins and Terraform
- Readiness to learn about SAP Netweaver Basis technology components
- Help the team to automate reoccurring manual operational tasks into script based workflows

**What you bring**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or similar degree
- Recently Graduate or less than 3 years of working experience
- Scripting knowledge in Python (or readiness to learn)
- Understanding of Source Code Management with Github
- Knowledge about CI/CD concepts and automated testing, e.g. with Jenkins
- Experience with Linux OS and provisioning of scripts that run on Linux
- Usage & implementation of APIs in self written scripts (e.g. towards a cloud provider like MS Azure)
- Interest to learn about SAP Basis Technology component operations & SAP LAMA
- Ability to work in an international, virtual team and act as team player
- Constant readiness to dive self-motivated into new technology/ automation topics
- Optionally beneficial: Experience with Kubernetes & Docker
