**A Snapshot of Your Day**

In your role as an expert for non-destructive testing development and field service support, you will work with international field service teams, in our office in Amadora / Portugal, in our laboratory in Muelheim / Germany and on-site at our customers' power plants.

As member of our NDT engineer team, you will develop Ultrasonic and Eddy current NDT techniques using advanced simulation software, prepare scan plans, procedures and review data from field inspections. You implement new inspection techniques and support field service inspections on our customer sites, to detect material defects in the highly stressed components that may have an impact on the service life of the components or also on component safety. You document the test results and coordinate the evaluation with your colleagues (f/m/d) in the specialist department / engineering.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Be part of the SE FST NDT development community for simulation of advanced inspection methods using Civa and 3D modeling software.
- Responsible for the preparation of specialized field service inspections, follow-up of improvements, data analyze and new developments including final implementation of those inspection methods in the field.
- Implement non-destructive tests on turbine and generator components in power plants (worldwide) during high workload seasons.
- With your deep knowledge, you will help to develop new ways of advanced inspection for NDE 4.0

**What You Bring**
- Knowledge of NDT testing methods Eddy current and UT- phased array, certification according to ISO 9712, minimum required is level 2.
- Technical university degree or comparable education.
- Extensive experience using Civa simulation software and 3D modeling.
- Experience of automated weld inspection using Phased Array is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel worldwide.
- You are proficient in English (written and spoken)

We are a DIN EN ISO 17025 accredited NDT testing laboratory mainly located in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. Our team of highly qualified specialists is part of the Siemens Energy service organization for power plant turbine generator sets. Our focus is on highly stressed components of power plant turbine sets.
