THE LAKHANI GROUP is looking to strengthen its team by recruiting an Accounts Intern
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Intern. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in accounting and finance, providing exposure to various aspects of financial management within a dynamic business environment. As an intern, you will work closely with our finance team to support day-to-day accounting operations and gain practical insights into financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
We are a hotel development and construction group based in Lisbon, specializing in the execution of highly complex hotel construction/refurbishment projects.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis to assist in decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support various projects and initiatives.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide support during external audits.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree program, preferably in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Previous accounting or finance internship experience is a plus but not required.
- Eligible for IEFP's ATIVAR internship
