Why this job is important
The Business Systems Analysts are responsible for the delivery of the data analysis and reporting that underpins the global processes for FP&A at KBS. The role will own multiple of these processes and ensure that business users have the necessary reports and tools to fulfil their step of the process. It will also need to develop and manage relationships and effectively collaborate with other Leads across Finance, our third-party vendors and other delivery partners.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the Kantar stakeholders to understand, review and prioritize reporting requirements.
- Help build a Data Governance framework that drives data quality assurance and trusted reports and data sets.
- Support the Data Insights team on understanding transactional data for performance management, variance analysis and ad-hoc queries from senior management.
- Translate new requirements into the relevant functional specifications for technical teams to design, build and test reports using the most appropriate solution.
- Regarding the OneStream project:
- Actively participate in the Build, Test and Deployment phases of the project to support reporting, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Help lead historical data conversion, ERP data integration and report development activities, working closely with a dedicated team in the execution of these project phases.
- Work closely with business and IT teams spread across globally and should possess excellent communication skill
- Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands
- Ensuring the success of the Data Insights team by being proactive on data quality issues which helps provide a trusted data source for performance reporting and analytics.
- Support the R&A Lead in meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance regulations.
- Support the R&A lead in the stabilisation and growth of KBS R&A CoE, including the on-going transition of additional services into KBS and the development of internal capabilities within the wider organisation.
- Crafting documents to outline the proposed changes and the steps involved
- Supervising the implementation of new technology or an innovative approach on behalf of the transformation programme manager
The skills & experience you’ll need.
- Degree level education in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent.
- Experience working within a cross functional Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
- Deep understanding of at least one of the following:
- ERP Reporting Platforms (SAP, Oracle, IFS)
- HR (Workday, Peoplesoft)
- Procurement Business Systems (Coupa)
- Budgeting and Financial Consolidation Solutions (Onestream, SAP BPC, Anaplan, Hyperion HFM)
- Good report writing skills with native ERP and Business Systems report writing tools and BI Applications (such as Business Objects, Oracle BI or Cognos).
- Strong Excel and / or Microsoft Access skills
- Has worked as part of a team involved in the month end close process and is diligent in meeting the required deadlines for this
- Proven experience succeeding in complex, matrix and cross functional projects with the ability to inspire and influence across the organisation
- Fluent English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and management
