Accountant Trainee SSC (f/m/d) role at SurTec Group.

Location: Porto, Portugal. Hybrid Work Model: Flexible hybrid and full-time.

Overview

SurTec, a leading provider of chemical specialities for surface treatment, brings an opportunity for an entry‑level accountant who will support global finance teams across multiple legal entities.

Responsibilities

- Support the bookkeeping of one entity in one country following IFRS and local GAAP, focused on accounts payable and receivable management.

- Prepare a full suite of reconciled financial performance statements, supporting schedules and analyses for each operating legal entity within set timetables.

- Participate in team meetings, presenting ideas, commentary and supporting solutions in a suitable media environment.

- Ensure that all up‑to‑date accounting standards are considered for financial statements, highlighting training needs where appropriate.

- Assist with ad‑hoc financial reporting as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or General Business.

- Initial experience with IFRS reporting in a global business setting is a plus.

- Very good English communication skills.

- High level of enthusiasm, desire to learn and continuous improvement mindset.
