Local People & Culture Business Partner – Portugal

Location – Lisbon (hybrid).

About The Role

We are seeking an operationally strong People & Culture Business Partner to join our team at our newly established Solution Delivery Organization in Lisbon to support our Local People & Culture agenda. In this role, you will be a key driver in the people agenda for build‑up and stabilization of our new organization in Portugal, ensuring compliance with local Labor laws, and supporting operational and strategic HR needs.

You will balance day‑to‑day HR operations with business partnering tasks while helping transform digitalize processes. You will be part of a diverse and international team in an inclusive environment, offering excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth.

What You Will Do

- Act as the primary point of contact for managers and employees in Portugal, supporting them with HR‑related matters.

- Manage end‑to‑end employee life‑cycle processes, such as:

- Drafting contracts and addendums,

- Managing job postings, onboarding and terminations,

- Administering leave processes (e.g., maternity, holidays, sickness).

- Maintain and update the HR system (SuccessFactors) and ensure accurate employee records.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and manager development.

- Handle employee relations matters, including resolving conflicts and managing disciplinary actions in compliance with local Labor laws.

- Collaborate with team members of the P&C Organization to align initiatives and ensure local relevance.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Human Resources Operations as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.

- A strong understanding of Portuguese Labor laws.

- Proficiency in English (Portuguese language skills are a bonus).

- A strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, and the ability to continuously develop the supporting processes and digital tools.

- Experience with cloud‑based HR platforms e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar systems.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across different teams.

- A proactive, efficient and solution‑oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
