The Role:

The Insurance Administrator is responsible for the preparation and administration of insurance policies. The main objective is to provide high-quality administrative support to underwriters, brokers, and end clients. For certain business lines/products, the Administrator has an Administrative Decision Making Authority based on pre-established criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Office-based administration work to ensure high quality and efficient processing of administration requests, including quote preparation, policy issuing, mid-term adjustments, renewals, cancellations, and accepting and declining of insurance risks.
2. Testing and supporting UAT and new administrative tools, processes, and documentation.
3. First point of contact for brokers and clients, providing excellent customer experience and transferring other questions to relevant departments.
4. Accurate data entry of insurance risks to achieve Service Excellence, along with general administrative duties.
5. Ensuring quality output by performing regular Quality Audits.
6. Liaising with internal and external parties to respond to and resolve queries within processing deadlines.
7. Delivering exceptional service standards and KPIs.
8. Supporting data cleansing and mass change processing projects.
9. Preparing management information reports as required.
10. Participating and providing support to process improvement projects.
11. Supporting the implementation in continuous improvement or change project work.
12. Contributing to technical support and procedural best practices.
13. Providing new ideas and support to the team leader and coordinator.

Person Specification:

1. Baccalaureate qualification.
2. Proficient in written and spoken French and English.
3. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member.
4. Curious, willing to learn, and challenging conventions.
5. Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and quality under pressure.
6. Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan workload to meet deadlines.
7. Demonstrating personal integrity.
8. Personable, with the ability to build relationships across and outside Hiscox.
9. Good customer focus.
10. "Can-do" attitude.

Professional Experience:

1. Ideally, experience in an office environment, especially in a multi-national, multi-lingual setting.
2. Experience in insurance is an advantage.
3. Evidence of interest in a career in administration, insurance, or shared services.
4. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Training can be provided.
