About Your Team: Sensei's Operations team is at the forefront of implementing our innovative systems in the field. This agile team works closely with Product and Engineering to optimize infrastructure solutions, develop deployment plans, and manage third‑party contractors. We are dedicated to ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness in all our implementations, driving the successful expansion of Sensei's cutting‑edge retail technologies internationally. How Can You Help? We are looking for an Operations Manager to support the implementation of our systems in the field. You will be at the center of Product and Operations and will manage other deployment team members. You will help design and improve the implementation process of our hardware with a focus on quality, efficiency and cost. You will also help grow our partner network in the field, finding and onboarding new partners and supporting current ones. You’ll play a critical role in optimizing our infrastructure solutions, developing infrastructure plans, and managing third‑party contractors and on‑site deployments. You're a proven leader, having managed people in your career. You are used to designing and managing construction projects (civil engineering, electrical, HVAC) and managing partner teams on‑site across several locations. You’re used to managing budgets and timelines to ensure the best delivery. You’re focused on optimizing the process and the product for the client. Daily at Sensei, you will: Project & Process Management - Infrastructure Optimization: Evaluate current infrastructure templates and suggest improvements in design, materials, and execution for scalability and cost‑efficiency. - Project Development & Approval: Create, assess, and approve infrastructure projects (layouts, cabling, mounting systems, power supply, etc.) in collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients. - Cross‑Functional Coordination: Work closely with sales, operations, and engineering teams to align technical solutions with client needs. - Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide timely updates to stakeholders. - Continuous Improvement: Brainstorm and implement product improvements. Document and regularly update best practices for field operations. - Ownership of expectations; working with account management so that we under‑promise and over‑deliver. - Sourcing and Budget Optimization: Negotiate prices and manage delivery timelines. Leadership - On‑Site Management: Supervise third‑party contractors and vendors during implementation; ensure compliance with project specs, timelines, and quality standards. - Partner Procurement: Build and lead a team of field logistics and installation professionals. Find, retain and manage top‑grade contractors/suppliers across the geographies we operate. - Team Leadership & Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to other Project Managers, assisting with workload balancing, project strategy, and problem‑solving. Foster effective communication and coordination between the deployment team and other Sensei teams to ensure seamless project execution. You Will Bring to the Table: - Have a degree in Civil Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Architecture or similar; - Have +5 years in construction or infrastructure project management (preferably in tech, retail, or logistics); - Have a strong understanding of physical infrastructure: cabling, electrical systems, hardware mounting; - Have experience managing contractors and site installations; - Have the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans; - Have exceptional organizational and communication skills; - Are fluent in Portuguese and English (Spanish or French are great pluses); - Familiarity with retail deployments is a great plus; - Experience with IOT deployments is a great plus; - Experience in fast‑paced tech startup environments is a great plus; - Basic knowledge of networking is a great plus; - Experience working with CAD Software (Autocad, Rhino, ...) is a great plus; - Experience with project management software such as Jira is a great plus; - Experience with CRM software (Odoo, SAP, ...) is a great plus; - Enjoy and are available to travel to different client locations. Expect to travel >30% of the time. After Six Months, Success Means: - Deep Technological Understanding: You will have developed a comprehensive understanding of Sensei's software and hardware technology, enabling you to troubleshoot effectively and contribute to technical discussions. - Optimized Infrastructure: You will have successfully evaluated and improved current infrastructure templates, leading to demonstrable gains in scalability and cost‑efficiency for deployments. - Streamlined Project Development: You will have consistently created, assessed, and approved infrastructure projects (layouts, cabling, mounting systems, power supply) in collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring timely execution. - Enhanced Partner Network: You will have effectively grew Sensei's partner network in the field, successfully onboarding new partners and strengthening relationships with existing ones, resulting in a robust and reliable contractor base. - Efficient On‑Site Management: You will have consistently supervised third‑party contractors and vendors, ensuring all implementations comply with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards, and proactively resolved any on‑field issues. - Improved Field Operations Best Practices: You will have brainstormed, implemented, and documented product improvements and regularly updated best practices for field operations, contributing to continuous improvement.
