act digital is a multinational company present in 12 countries, which combines local agility and global expertise to act as a strategic partner for our clients in delivering customized and scalable solutions. In Portugal, we have around 120 clients and a team of over 400 people, working on projects in sectors as diverse as Banking, Insurance, Transport, Aviation and Energy. We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to support the full payroll cycle for an international organization. Responsibilities Run the full monthly payroll cycle using SAP . Validate payroll results, identify inconsistencies, and ensure accurate payslips. Process all payroll inputs: absences, overtime, bonuses, deductions, terminations, leave, etc. Ensure legal compliance and support statutory reporting. Prepare payroll files, reconciliations, and reports for Finance. Support employees with payroll-related questions and resolve issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders when needed. Requirements 5+ years of experience running payroll (Portuguese or international). Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, calculations, and end-to-end payroll processes. Experience using SAP as a payroll system (HCM or SuccessFactors EC) - mandatory. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Fluent in English (mandatory). Based in Portugal and available to work remotely. Nice to Have Experience with international payroll environments. Knowledge of time & attendance processes. Advanced Excel skills.
