Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Portuguese labor law, fluent English proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for employees and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities: Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses Ensure compliance with Portuguese labor law and other relevant regulations Handle payroll queries and resolve any issues or discrepancies Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processes Stay updated on changes to labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance Provide support during audits and assist with payroll-related inquiries Continuously improve payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred) Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role Strong understanding of Portuguese labor law and regulations Fluent in English (both verbal and written) Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
