Manager P&E for VISA system maintenance and developmentPosition: Planning & Engineering ManagerDepartment: Planning & Engineering, Air Network VISA systemsAs a Manager in Planning & Engineering within the Air Network, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals, overseeing complex planning and engineering initiatives related to our air transportation operations. You will provide expert advice and guidance at both regional and divisional levels, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Your role involves collaborating with senior management and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence and innovative solutions within the air network.What you will be doing:Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team within the Air Network Planning & Engineering division.Provide coaching, guidance, and support to ensure team members achieve their objectives and are equipped with the necessary skills and tools.Plan and organize resources to identify and develop goals related to air network initiatives.Ensure alignment with divisional and corporate objectives, manage risks, and secure stakeholder buy-in.Present plans and strategies to senior management for approval.Maintain and develop expertise in FedEx air network standards, external regulations, and the broader business environment.Provide expert advice on complex issues and explore innovative opportunities and solutions for the air network.Lead the design and implementation of process improvements and best practices that enhance air network efficiency and performance.Identify and analyze business challenges, opportunities, and constraints in air network operations.Make high-impact decisions and sponsor the implementation of solutions to ensure optimal results.Conduct high-quality analysis, provide recommendations, and contribute to strategic planning for the air network.Develop and communicate reports and insights to key stakeholders, including executive and senior management.Oversee projects and initiatives within the air network, ensuring successful delivery within time and budget constraints.Support your team with project management tools and lead the implementation of approved solutions.Manage the departmental budget, optimizing costs and ensuring expenditures remain within agreed parameters.Drive cost efficiencies without compromising on service quality.Ensure departmental activities comply with internal FedEx policies, aviation regulations, and legal requirements.Identify opportunities for operational improvements and assess risks that may impact the air network and the broader business.Build strong relationships within your team and with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring effective collaboration.Maintain external alignments with customers, subject matter experts, and industry organizations as required.What do you bring with you:A degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.Excellent command of English both written and spoken.Significant experience (5-10 years) in a managerial role within planning and engineering, particularly in the air network domain.Strong analytical, influencing, and decision-making skills.Demonstrated leadership abilities, with proficiency in planning and organizing.Expert knowledge of FedEx standards, external regulations, and best practices in air network operations.Relevant business accreditation or qualifications.Experience in managing projects and departmental budgets effectively.Ability to ensure compliance with policies and regulations while identifying and implementing process improvements.What do we offer:Impact on business at strategic level and exposure to middle and upper management.A unique and challenging position in an innovative, international, and dynamic working environment.Package of non-wage benefits (medical care including dental package; life insurance; multisport/mybenefit, extensive learning resources to further develop your skills and knowledge, including online language courses).Beside a competitive benefits and reward package we offer our employees a wide array of formal training and on-the-job learning opportunities to bring your career in FedEx to the next level.Hybrid working policy, where team members have the opportunity to combine the benefits of working in the office and some days working from home.Tuition Assistance Program.Employee Assistance Program for you and your family in difficult life situations.FedEx is one of the world’s most admired companies and trusted brands year after year.Bring your ideas, individuality, and dreams to our global community.
