About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Development Expert to join our team in Brussels. As a key member of our Information Systems department, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our robust IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop applications and scripts in collaboration with IT developers, IT operations, and functional analysts.
  • Work with functional analysts to create specifications and produce clean and efficient code.
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs into existing systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Verify the functionality of programs and systems and manage their deployment in various environments.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to improve its performance, stability, and scalability.
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback to improve software functionality and user experience.
  • Recommend and execute ICT improvements.
  • Design scalable solutions while maintaining high security measures and continuously optimise application performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for reference, reporting, and future development.
  • Perform unit testing of the code.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a field relevant to this role.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and a satisfactory knowledge of another official EU language.
  • Proven experience in coding in Java 11+, Java frameworks/systems (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security), front-end development (TypeScript and Angular 10+), and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices and tools (Maven and Bamboo).
  • Proven experience with interoperability technologies, including web services and REST APIs, Oauth 2.0, and Security concepts.
  • Proven experience with containerisation technologies (Docker and Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Very good organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and speed while working under pressure.
  • Good team spirit and team work in an international/multicultural environment.
  • Good communication skills.
