Job Summary

Hyland Software is seeking a highly skilled Mid Payroll Program Manager to join our global Payroll team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting payroll processing for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct payroll processing for multiple countries, ensuring adds, changes, and separations are accurately reflected.
  • Serve as a point of contact for leaders and employees for time and attendance and payroll, providing resolution and follow-up to payroll inquiries.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of payroll data and compliance with all government requirements.
  • Modify existing and create new ad hoc and scheduled reporting.
  • Process new hires, employee changes, and separations in HCM system, identifying and resolving conflicting and/or erroneous information.
  • Ensure accurate pay calculations and benefit deductions for all employees, including special situations such as new promoted, transferred, or terminated employees.
  • Administer any irregular payments such as incentives, bonuses, commissions, disability, or other company benefits, and serve as primary contact with agencies and law firms.
  • Obtain and track necessary registrations for withholding and unemployment, working directly with vendors and providing guidance and information.
  • Assist with the review and performance evaluation of technologies, including new HCM modules, new releases, new integrations, and new systems.
  • Responsible for liaising with appropriate vendors and agencies regarding payroll tax administration and auditing, ensuring accuracy of all filings.

Requirements:

  • Good command of English, at least B2 level.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple countries, ideally Portugal or other EMEA countries/UK/South Africa.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll administration fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll tax and compliance fundamentals.
  • Proficient in the use of a variety of payroll and HR systems.
  • Expertise in Excel for data management, reporting, and automation.
  • Good oral and written communications skills, demonstrating a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Good collaboration skills, applied successfully within the team as well as with other areas.
  • Good facilitation and project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of the department.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage projects to completion with oversight.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact.

Nice to Have:

  • Good command of Portuguese, B2 level preferred.
  • Experience with Workday platform.
