About the Role:

The District Sales Manager will lead our Oncology and Hemato-Oncology team in Portugal, reporting to the business unit. This individual will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and the capability to build relationships with various stakeholders, delivering meaningful customer experiences that drive positive impacts for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse sales team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring effective communication and cooperation between sales, marketing, and medical teams.
  • Ensure performance expectations and development goals are clearly understood by all team members, regularly monitor results and goals achievement, participate in SR performance evaluation, Performance Management, and Career Planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead, manage and develop the professional skills of SR /Coaching SR.
  • Responsible for implementation marketing strategy and achievement of business plans, communicate with other functions and provide information about the situation on the local market.
  • Responsible for efficient allocation of financial and non-financial resources.
  • Represent and behave in alignment with our company values, policies, and standards, and ensure understanding of and compliance with Red Book a Good Promotional Practice within the team.

Requirements:

  • Able to live and work in Portugal - mandatory.
  • Portuguese speaker - mandatory.
  • Fluent business- and job-related English (written and spoken).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, Finance), additional education will be highly valued.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hospital sales/marketing experience in oncology, preferably in breast cancer or hemato-oncology.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record in marketing and promotion and/or people management.
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time, have a driver license.
  • Familiarity and/or experience in marketing processes.
  • Strong understanding of the interplay between sales, marketing, and medical functions.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry economics and drivers.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration, continual improvement, simplicity, and focus.
  • Influence and leadership skills.
  • Business sales acumen.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship building including multifunctional teamwork skills and the ability to influence senior management.
