Job Description:

At Tn Portugal, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join our team in Lisbon. As a key member of our Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our online gaming operations in Portugal are fully compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the Portuguese online gambling regulation and track regulatory evolutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ) – the Portuguese gambling regulator.
  • Prepare and submit regular reporting to SRIJ in cooperation with other departments.
  • Roll-out compliance training across key functions within the company.
  • Produce simple and actionable interpretations of the rules applicable for business units.
  • Review and validate the compliance of key projects in Portugal.
  • Detect and mitigate compliance issues, and follow up on the correction of compliance incidents.
  • Manage administrative misconduct litigation proceedings, in relation with external counsel.
  • Contribute on an ad-hoc basis to public affairs initiatives.
  • Manage a junior compliance officer dedicated to the Portuguese market.

Requirements:
  • Native Portuguese speaker and full fluency in English (written and oral) required.
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Master's degree from a Superior School or University (preferably in Law, Political Sciences or Business/Audit).
  • A minimum of ten years of professional experience.
  • Significant prior experience in gambling would be ideal, or in a Compliance function within a regulated industry (banking, insurance, telecommunications, etc.).
  • An experience in management.
  • Interest in sports and technology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ease in contacts, diplomacy.
  • Capacity to absorb complexity and be pragmatic.
