We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Yoruba Language Specialist to join our team as a Content Reviewer and Analyst. This role requires expertise in geopolitical research, trend analysis, and content moderation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on global events impacting Yoruba-speaking regions, focusing on topics relevant to platform safety and integrity.
- Transform complex, multi-source information into concise, actionable insights to aid strategic decision-making.
- Identify and assess emerging trends that could present risks to the platforms, particularly in relation to inappropriate or explicit content.
- Review and moderate internet content to ensure compliance with platform policies, addressing sensitive or explicit material appropriately.
- Maintain thorough documentation of research methods, findings, and conclusions, generating detailed reports for internal review.
- Work with various teams to prioritize research based on business objectives, ensuring alignment and effectiveness.
- Evaluate potential threats and risks to the platform trust, using analytical insights to inform strategic initiatives.
- Adapt to support other products, markets, or workflows as needed, utilizing the Translation Tool to meet dynamic business needs.
Requirements:
- Expertise in geopolitical research and trend analysis.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to synthesize complex data.
- Proficiency in Yoruba and English for cross-market communication and support.
- Experience with content moderation and understanding of content policies.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills for clear, detailed insights.
- Ability to adapt quickly to shifting workflows and cross-functional demands.
Benefits:
- A competitive gross salary of €1040 per month (negotiable up to €1295 if no accommodation is required).
- Free accommodation for the whole 12-month contract (own room in a shared house/apartment) or an increased salary without accommodation.
