Job Summary
We're seeking an Early Career Network Professional to provide post-sales delivery support, working closely with a senior Ciena engineer. This role will involve Solution Engineering services, such as Solution Design, Solution Acceptance, Remote Deployment support, and Network Reconfiguration/Migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers (SE), Service Project Managers (SPM), Technical Support, Field Service Engineers, and Customer Service Advocate
- Develop and implement migration strategies for successful transitions onto the Ciena platform
- Provide technical guidance to Presales Engineers to ensure Network Designs meet customer and serviceability requirements
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field. They should possess basic knowledge of L0/L1 optical/transmission and/or Layer2-3 (IP protocols) and/or scripting/DevOps skills. Strong communication and customer service skills are necessary, along with the ability to handle travel and work at night during maintenance windows.
