The Role:We're seeking an accomplished Head of Business Development to drive our expansion in the B2B fashion tech space. This role offers flexibility in location, with remote or hybrid options. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in selling and implementing e-commerce and retail tech solutions, a deep understanding of the fashion industry, and exceptional relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Growth & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue and expand PLATFORME International's presence in the B2B e-commerce and retail tech space.
- Partnership Building: Develop and manage strategic partnerships with leading brands, retailers, and key industry stakeholders, positioning our technology as a game-changer in on-demand, customized production.
- Market Insight & Analysis: Analyze trends and opportunities within e-commerce, retail, fashion, beauty, interiors, wellness, and hospitality, using this insight to proactively shape our business development efforts.
- Sales & Solution Implementation: Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiating and closing complex deals, ensuring seamless implementation and handover to Account Management.
- Representation & Advocacy: Represent PLATFORME International at high-profile industry events and networking opportunities, promoting the company as a thought leader in fashion tech.
- Team Leadership: As the company grows, build and lead a high-performing business development team, fostering a results-driven culture and supporting team members' professional development.
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, particularly within e-commerce, retail tech, or fashion tech.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, especially in selling and implementing technology solutions for e-commerce and retail environments.
- Deep understanding of the fashion industry, including customization technology and on-demand production.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-level stakeholders.
- Data-driven with experience in tracking sales metrics and performance.
- Fluent in English, with French and Italian being highly desirable.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
