This innovative epidemiologist role sits in the Center for Advanced Evidence Generation (CAEG) at IQVIA and reports directly to the Chief Scientific Officer.

CAEG works alongside scientific teams across IQVIA, driving innovation in patient health with a focus on real-world evidence, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for regulatory decision-making and global public health.

Job Overview:

Drive innovation by collaborating across IQVIA's scientific, technical, and product development teams to generate thought leadership and provide epidemiologic expertise on study design and interpretation.

Provide expert consultation and guidance to internal project teams, other departments, and divisions of IQVIA, as well as clients, in areas including observational study methods, statistical methods, and AI/ML.

Support writing protocols, manuscripts, and other study documents with independent, critical thinking to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of output and final content.

Contribute to department leadership within regions (US, EMEA, or APAC) and globally, supporting new business development, product creation, media, publications, and client projects.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Epidemiology, Data Science, or a related field, with 7 years of experience and sound methodological training.
  • Self-motivated and proven leadership skills.
  • Strong writing skills and experience publishing in literature, delivering presentations, and engaging in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to provide scientific oversight and methodologic guidance on study protocols.
  • Strong background and experience in rigorous study design and epidemiologic methods, with an interest in AI/ML.
  • In addition to quantitative and methodologic skills, we are looking for a strong team player comfortable thinking critically and creatively.

About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned epidemiologist to drive innovation in our Center for Advanced Evidence Generation (CAEG). As Associate Epidemiology Director, you'll collaborate with scientific, technical, and product development teams to generate thought leadership and provide epidemiologic expertise.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Epidemiology, Data Science, or a related field, with 7 years of experience and sound methodologic training. They should be self-motivated and have proven leadership skills, with strong writing and presentation skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include providing expert consultation and guidance to internal project teams, other departments, and divisions of IQVIA, as well as clients, in areas including observational study methods, statistical methods, and AI/ML. You'll also support writing protocols, manuscripts, and other study documents, and contribute to department leadership within regions (US, EMEA, or APAC) and globally.

This is a hybrid role, allowing for flexibility and remote work options. We offer competitive compensation, estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This estimate may vary based on factors such as cost of living and local market conditions.
