AI Full Stack Developer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our innovative AI team at SAP. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Business Technology Platform (BTP) by developing and delivering AI-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build stable and scalable AI-based solutions, including PoCs and first versions of new products & features.
  • Iterate rapidly experimenting with GenAI, developing both front and backend components.
  • Work alongside colleagues in a cross-functional team to develop and deliver modular, reusable components, ensuring they can be seamlessly integrated across a diverse array of cloud technology environments.
  • Explore and assess new technologies in the field of generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-augmented development, tools, and infrastructure to evolve existing highly used functionalities and services in the cloud.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize the framework for collecting, processing, transforming, and granting access to data for GenAI applications.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in computer science, or related field with 5+ years professional experience in Software Development.
  • Strong experience building resilient distributed systems with relevant cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, BTP, AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages and concepts (e.g. Go, TypeScript). Skilled with at least one strongly typed language. Experience developing both backend and frontend components.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art software engineering methodologies, e.g., Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design, continuous integration, DevOps.
  • Ability to keep pace with GenAI technology shifts and solve problems creatively within a diverse team with different expertise backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Familiarity with data-centric languages (Python), SQL databases (e.g., SAP HANA Cloud, PostgreSQL), and data modelling.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
Tech Requirements:

Cloud Foundry/Kyma, Docker, Cloud-Native Development, TypeScript, UI5, React, Jenkins, Git, GitOps, DevOps, Python.

Tech to Learn:

LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation, SAP AI Core and GenAI Hub, Vector Engines, LangChain, AI Agents and anything relevant that will come up in the field of GenAI.
