Electrical Field Service Engineer

Are you a skilled electrical professional looking for a challenging role in data centre commissioning? We are seeking a highly experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Eaton's Electrical Division. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to our customers by ensuring the smooth installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our products. With a strong background in three-phase electrical installations and experience working with UPS systems in data centres, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process, providing technical expertise, and supporting local field service engineers.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful outcomes. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring new field service engineers, driving escalations to conclusion, and maintaining direct links with business units for technical exchange.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee data centre commissioning, providing technical expertise and support to local field service engineers.
- Collaborate with project managers to advise on commissioning considerations and select suitable engineers.
- Perform health and safety audits to ensure compliance with Eaton's standards.
- Manage subcontractor teams and drive escalations to conclusion.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong electrical background, with suitable education and qualifications.
- 5-7+ years of experience working with UPS systems in data centres.
- Three-phase electrical installation and commissioning experience.
- Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, and TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with programming of PLC control systems (Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, or process control).
- Fluent English language skills.
