About the Role:

Eaton ́s Electrical Division is seeking a professional to act as a Field Service Engineer within local Country Service Unit, Cluster Service, and EMEA level if required. The successful candidate will work mainly in large data center projects, providing first-class service for Eaton installed base products to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing data centre commissioning on behalf of Eaton Field Service in local service units and at the cluster or EMEA level, if required.
  • Provide the highest level of technical expertise in all hyperscale commissioning activities.
  • Support and train local Field Service Engineers in such activities.
  • Onboard, coach, and mentor new Field Service Engineers that join Eaton.
  • Manage key account technical escalations, providing support including site visits, to engineers and customers alike, driving escalations to conclusion and providing feedback where necessary.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, advising on commissioning considerations and assisting on the selection of suitable engineers, carrying out site visits as required.
  • Assist Project Management Organization with support of high-profile clients, providing technical advice and attending site visits as required.
  • Maintain direct links with business units (factories) and act as a focal point for all technical exchange regarding commissioning procedures and testing.
  • Manage subcontractor teams where required.
  • Perform Health & Safety audits of Field Service Engineers and subcontractors, ensuring high standards are maintained by Eaton.

Requirements:

  • Installer electrical background, suitable education/qualifications.
  • 5-7+ years of working with UPS, experience in Data Centers.
  • Three-phase electrical installation and commissioning experience essential.
  • Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP an advantage.
  • Programming of PLC control systems (Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, or process control) an advantage.
  • Good understanding of switch panels and power distribution.
  • Fluent English.
  • High mobility within the hiring cluster and EMEA level, if requested.
