Medical Instrument Specialist

A Medical Instrument Specialist is responsible for preparing and packaging surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization while adhering to Standard Precautions and Event Related Sterility principles.
About the Role:This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately handling and caring for instruments/equipment, identifying and reporting equipment in need of repair, and maintaining records of equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and package surgical instruments/equipment for sterilization
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and supplies
- Identify and report equipment in need of repair
- Lift and maneuver supplies and equipment as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Sterile Processing preferred
- Minimum one year experience in sterile processing or related field
$45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
