Job DescriptionA Flight Dispatcher or Flight Operations Officer at Hi Fly is responsible for creating and disseminating operational flight plans to flight crews. They ensure that all flights are planned safely and efficiently, taking into account factors such as aerodrome suitability, route selection, meteorological conditions, and navigation aids.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing operational flight plans and filing ATC flight plans;
- Creating flight packages and disseminating them to flight crews in a timely manner;
- Monitoring daily flight activity and establishing direct communication with airborne aircraft if necessary;
- Providing information to OCC and Senior Management regarding the activation of the Company's Emergency Response Plan.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Flight Operations Officer/Flight Dispatcher ICAO License issued by the Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) or equivalent;
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role;
- Previous professional experience in the aviation industry is advantageous;
- Multicultural awareness, excellent interpersonal skills, and clear communication style;
- Fast learner and highly motivated individual;
- Highly flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Fluent in spoken and written English is mandatory;
- Good proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite.
We offer a competitive estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
