Procurement Process Expert with SAP S/4HANA and Ariba Expertise

The position of Senior Procurement Process Expert at Siemens Energy is a critical role that requires expertise in procurement processes, particularly in the context of SAP S/4HANA and Ariba. As part of our Corporate Procurement Team, your focus will be on promoting process excellence for operational procurement processes.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the company's system transformation by providing expert knowledge, developing tailor-made training concepts, and leading efforts to harmonize and continuously enhance procurement processes and system efficiency within the business. Your day-to-day tasks will include analyzing problem areas, giving advice based on system knowledge and business process knowledge, working closely with team members to support process optimization, addressing and resolving issues and challenges within factory operations related to procurement processes, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive end-to-end expertise in processes ranging from purchase to payment, ensuring seamless procurement operational excellence for internal partners.
- Analyze problem areas and give advice based on system knowledge and business process knowledge.
- Work closely with team members to support process optimization along the value chain.
- Address and resolve issues and challenges within factory operations related to procurement processes.
- Support and provide expertise in purchasing documents - contracts, purchase info records (PIR), purchase orders (PO), scheduling agreements (SA).
- Apply material master knowledge to maintain data integrity and drive process improvements to resolve any material master errors.
- Leverage and apply MRP knowledge to optimize material planning and procurement processes.
- Closely collaborate with other process teams in the area of operational procurement and supply management, supplier lifecycle management, sourcing and negotiation, contract management, and master data.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably also with SAP Ariba.
- Profound experience with procurement methods and processes.
- Good skills in communication and organizational change skills with a talent for inspiring and motivating people.
- Ability to develop users on procurement and logistics processes and systems, ensuring knowledge transfer and adoption of best practices.
- Demonstrable experience in project management, including leading cross-functional teams and delivering successful procurement and logistics projects.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and address issues, as well as drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and systems.
- Experience in identifying and implementing best practices in procurement processes and systems.
- Good communication and social skills to collaborate effectively with internal customers and suppliers.
- Flexibility to travel and stay at factory and office locations to conduct training and assess process compliance.
- Working experience with multi-cultural professionals and teams.
- Strong data analytical skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
- Working experience in extracting and updating MASS data via Winshuttle, MEMASS transactions, or SAP tables.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience within a global company.
- Proficient command of English language in writing and speaking.
Salary and Benefits
This position comes with an estimated annual salary of approximately €80,000 - €110,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus additional benefits and perks.
