About the Role:

We're seeking an exceptional professional to join our team and contribute to the development of a multi-year sourcing strategy that expands our capabilities and flexibility when working with external partners across our R&D organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing activities in support of our current and future outsourced scope of work, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery of high-quality research activities globally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Onboarding and Management: Support the onboarding process for vendor resources, facilitating their ability to execute sourced scope of work efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversight of Outsourced Activities: Manage assigned translational medicine/nonclinical, clinical operations, pre-clinical, and outcomes research outsourced activities, prioritizing timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Issue Escalation and Resolution: Identify and escalate issues related to the delivery of materials and/or services, collaborating with internal teams and external parties to resolve them promptly.
  • Vendor Performance Management: Collaborate with assigned vendors to assure new capabilities and services are developed, existing ones are assessed and improved, and overall performance is tracked via metrics.
  • Annual Business Planning and Analysis: Support the annual business planning process, analyzing and proposing financial plans related to external partner expenditures.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in pharmaceutical research and development.
  • Experience working in a drug development outsourced model, either on the outsourcer or client side, with a proven ability to translate learnings to clinical and medical affairs outsourcing models.
  • Basic experience leading successful project deliveries (pipeline, business improvement, and/or change management projects).
  • Knowledge of clinical operations, study management, medical affairs operations, and/or outcomes research studies for pharmaceutical products, vaccines, and/or biologic products.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in matrix organizational structures.
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience with or within a healthcare/life sciences industry project management, clinical operations, or medical affairs function that includes working with external partners.
  • Prior experience and understanding of vendor selection/management for interventional and non-interventional clinical studies.
  • Understanding of the requirements and nature of outcomes research using real-world data.
  • Travel may be required (10%).
