About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Euronext as a Settlement Operations Expert, working at the heart of our financial markets. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our settlement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Settlement Monitoring and Control: You will monitor and control the settlement of stock market operations carried out in regulated or non-regulated markets, operations and securities movements instructed by participants in the settlement system, special operations (tender offers, exchange offers), corporate actions, lending and borrowing systems, and investment funds systems.
- Settlement Failures and Penalties: You will identify and resolve settlement failures, calculate and report settlement penalties, and oversee the collection and distribution of these penalties.
- Settlement Processes and Systems: You will supervise the settlement processes for securities and cash (in euro and non-euro currency) and ensure the availability of the settlement systems.
- Cash Account Management: You will perform movements in the Euronext Securities Porto cash account opened with the Bank of Portugal (RTGS account and T2S DCA).
- Setup and Updates: You will set up and update the settlement referential data in internal systems and the T2S platform.
- Operational Documentation: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date operational documentation regarding settlement services.
- Project Support and Testing: You will support the development and implementation of projects impacting settlement services, perform tests of updates and improvements, and certify and contingency test with the Central Bank.
- Client Support: You will provide information to issuers and financial intermediaries regarding settlement services.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require a strong background in finance, excellent communication skills, and experience in capital markets. Your expertise in business administration, knowledge of applicable legislation, and proficiency in English language will be valuable assets. A university degree in management, law, economics, or equivalent, and at least two years of professional experience in capital markets are essential qualifications.
