Regional Operations Director

As a key member of the Indie Campers team, you will be responsible for leading our UK, Ireland & Nordics operations regional team. Your primary focus will be on managing a team that executes regional processes and oversees local depots and their respective teams. You will drive operational results in terms of fleet availability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency by ensuring high standards are maintained and central procedural guidelines are effectively implemented.
This pivotal role requires close collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer and working alongside people from diverse countries and nationalities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise the regional team and local teams in your region.
- Oversee day-to-day regional operations execution and actively manage the team to achieve results defined for the region regarding fleet availability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor the performance of local operations and ensure operating standards are followed and operational objectives are met.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is paramount, addressing all customer feedback with utmost importance and adapting procedures to minimize exceptions.
- C coordinate with central teams to ensure processes are well-defined and adapted to the regions, guaranteeing success.
- Lead, coordinate, and deliver projects related to operational expansion within your region.
- Manage the P&L of your region as part of the management team, responsible for operational costs and taking ownership of identifying efficiency initiatives and their effective deployment.
- Background in Business Management, Engineering, or similar education.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in strategic consulting or finance-related positions is an asset.
- More than 3 years of proven experience in managing operational teams with P&L ownership and direct control over operational financial performance in sustainable business models, particularly in rent-a-car and hospitality industries.
- Proven track record in establishing operational standards and developing structured operations.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop high-performing teams.
- Capacity to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and coordinate efforts of big teams.
- Organized, analytical, and results-oriented.
- Fluent in English.
