The Role: Portuguese Senior Linguist at Welocalize
We are seeking a skilled Portuguese Senior Linguist to join our team at Welocalize. As a key member of our localization team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality translation and localization for assigned projects and accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate freelance translators and address project-related queries.
- Foster effective collaboration among team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and test new vendors.
- Train internal linguists and freelancers.
Requirements:
- University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in translation/localization.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Native fluency in designated Portuguese for Portugal language.
- Thorough understanding of the localization process.
- Excellent user experience of standard software and CAT tools.
Key Qualifications:
- Subject-matter expert within the company for discipline or process.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and give clear, concise feedback.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to effectively present information.
