About The Lisboan International School

Located in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal, The Lisboan International School is a brand new institution forming part of Artemis Education's family of schools. With a mission to improve access to outstanding education, we are seeking an exceptional Founding Head of Primary to join our founding team.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position ranges from €90,000 to €110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the traditions, values, and ethos that define our Primary School as a place where students and educators thrive. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with the Founding Principal to shape the school's academic curriculum and extracurricular programs. You will also play a key role in recruiting, leading, empowering, and retaining outstanding teachers who are inspired by our approach to education.

We are looking for a specialist who is passionate about the Early Years and Primary age range, excited by the opportunity to innovate and push past traditional constraints, and committed to making a difference in the lives of our students.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in senior leadership positions, preferably in international schools;
  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative curricula and pedagogies;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, students, and parents;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity, and values-driven education;
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive school culture.
