About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Investigator to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating complex financial crimes, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing expert advice to stakeholders.

Job Summary:

  • Investigate complex financial crimes, including money laundering and fraud
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial transactions
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on financial crime prevention and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including claims handlers, to ensure effective investigation and resolution of financial crimes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into complex financial crimes, using a range of techniques and tools
  • Analyze financial data and identify patterns and anomalies that may indicate financial crime
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent financial crime
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on financial crime prevention and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective investigation and resolution of financial crimes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or law
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven experience in financial crime investigation and prevention, preferably in an insurance or banking environment
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English, with strong language skills
