Data Scientist for Financial Crime Solutions

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team at ComplyAdvantage, a leading provider of AI-driven financial crime risk data and detection technology.
Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that aim to neutralise the risk of money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption, and other financial crimes. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in powering our Financial Crime solutions and contributing to the company's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with our Engineering, Data Analytics, and Product Teams to process and extract insights from large datasets, including structured and unstructured data.
- Lead the development of innovative data products from conception to operationalisation, driving business value and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform data analysis and drive data unification initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, continuously researching new tools, technologies, and frameworks to ensure the company remains ahead of the curve.
- Design and implement effective data metrics for machine learning modules, leveraging business requirements and customer feedback.
- MSc or PhD in a numerate subject or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
- Possession of a passion for data and the ability to solve complex real-world problems using algorithms.
- Able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, conveying complex messages in an easily understandable manner.
- Experience with Python programming language and one or more of the following: Natural Language Processing, Entity Resolution, Graph Theory, Graph Machine Learning.
- Familiarity with modern machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or Spark.
- An estimated annual salary of £80,000 - £100,000, depending on experience.
