About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires strong language skills, cultural knowledge, and excellent writing abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating, reviewing, and testing game-related content in their native language.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of gaming trends globally and in their region, as well as experience working with diverse teams from different cultures.
Main Responsibilities- Translation and Quality Control: Translate and review game-related content in your native language, adhering to existing quality standards.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Risk Mitigation: Evaluate and analyze culturally sensitive issues for your region to eliminate potential risks.
- Vendor Management: Manage translation vendor tasks effectively.
- Cultural Content Creation: Develop cultural content proposals upon request and push cultural hot topics/trends/issues regularly for your region.
- Collaboration with Developers and Publishing Team: Work closely with game developers and the publishing team to ensure high localization quality.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate day-to-day work with the Games Localization team and vendors worldwide.
- Native Language Skills: Native speaker of Japanese, Malay, English, Arabic, traditional Chinese Taiwan, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Korean with excellent writing skills.
- English Proficiency: Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Gaming Knowledge: Passionate gamer able to understand and discuss current gaming trends globally and in your own region.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and capable of working with a diverse team from different countries/cultures.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000-$120,000, depending on location and experience. Our company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
