Job Summary
The VP of Engineering will be responsible for driving the engineering department's strategic vision and execution in alignment with company goals. This role involves overseeing functional leads and an engineering team of about 70 people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the engineering department's strategic vision and execution in alignment with company goals.
- Overseeing functional leads (Head of Development, Head of QA, Head of DevOps, Head of Agile, and Head of Delivery).
- Building and scaling an engineering company that fosters innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, scalable software solutions and product's technical excellence.
- Ensuring effective communication and collaboration between engineering, product, and other business units.
Requirements:
- Highly self-motivated and results-oriented team player.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles such as CTO, Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, or similar in a product company.
- Experience leading diverse teams of similar size (70+) and scaling the company effectively.
- Proven track record of aligning technical strategies with product and business goals.
- Deep understanding of software development processes, including frontend and backend development, software testing, and DevOps.
- Deep understanding of the principles of building a reliable architecture.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and OOP, SOLID, and Design Patterns.
- Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS or Azure.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in leading remote engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Advanced level of English.
