About the Job Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Polish Translator for our global translation operation. The ideal candidate will possess advanced language skills and a deep understanding of Polish culture. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately translating video game content and acting as an interpreter to convert other associated text from English to Polish. You will adhere to product-specific guidelines to ensure maximum linguistic quality and adherence to all relevant conventions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create or assist in creating glossaries and style guides following pre-defined client guidelines
* Develop or contribute to characterisation documents
* Conduct translation work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology
* Perform revision work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology
* Collaborate with a larger team of translators or revisers
* Provide linguistic feedback for work carried out externally
Requirements:
Native-level fluency in Polish and English
Strong cultural understanding of Polish culture
Experience within the translation industry or working professionally as a Translator is a plus
Knowledge of business software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, memoQ, Plunet) is an advantage
Proactive attitude with clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Good organisation and problem-solving skills and have a 'can-do' attitude and positive thinking
The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and stay focused
Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
Sound research and translation judgment skills, and self-motivation, adaptability, and professionalism
