About the Role

At team.blue, we are building a new Finance Excellence Centre in Lisbon to support our recently acquired companies and future acquisitions. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to support the Purchase-to-Pay process of our newly acquired companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and files.
  • Process vendor invoices following company policies and ensure timely payments.
  • Verify and assign correct general ledger accounts and cost centres.
  • Prepare and review payment batches, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal purchasers regarding invoices and payment inquiries.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Support group and local audits with standardised and ad-hoc reports.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience in AP, with a strong background in P2P processes.
  • Excellent understanding of European GAAP and IFRS.
  • Fluency in English, with additional European languages an asset.
