Job Title: Human Resources Leader for Global Operations

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Responsibilities:

The Head of HR/Seagoing Personnel reports directly to the CEO and indirectly to the administration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating strategic HR planning
  • Developing recruitment strategies and processes for all company departments
  • Developing crew administration processes and systems
  • Implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Team management
  • Creating HR reports and analytics
  • HRIS (Human Resources Information System) management
  • Performance management and development
  • Implementing training programs
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in crew administration, crewing operations, or a similar role within the maritime industry
  • Familiarity with crew administration processes, documentation, and industry-specific requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, labor laws, and industry standards related to crew management and employment
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining crew records and documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with database systems
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
