End User Compute Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced End User Compute Consultant to join our IT Services infrastructure team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our modern workplace infrastructure, ensuring seamless user experiences and optimal business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary technical contact for key technical areas, coordinating with stakeholders and colleagues as required.
  • Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of IT initiatives, focusing on automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code.
  • Configure tools to automate the provisioning, testing, and deployment of infrastructure, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Produce and own system and infrastructure designs, policies, and documentation, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Provide reports and proposals for improvements to colleagues and stakeholders, driving business value and innovation.
  • Provide advice and guidance to support the adoption of methods and tools, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Act as a support escalation point for the 3rd line infrastructure support provider, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Proactively manage IT infrastructure to minimize business disruption and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and provide 3rd line support for infrastructure platforms in accordance with agreed service levels, standards, and processes.
  • Discover and remove technical debt as part of a continuous improvement work ethic, ensuring a high-quality infrastructure environment.
  • Drive decision-making across different teams and disciplines, seeking informed decisions that lead to value-add, quality, and appropriate outcomes.
