iCapital is seeking an experienced Investment Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial statements, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Responsibilities- Review third-party administrator prepared trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness on a quarterly basis.
- Verify the accuracy of management fee schedules using iCapital technology platform and collaborate with teams for fee payment and tracking.
- Ensure cash-based operational control over third-party administrators and transfer agents by reviewing and approving all cash movements.
- Analyze investor allocations using iCapital technology platform and provide platform-driven reporting to clients and their investors.
- Review payment packs for expense invoices prepared by third-party administrators.
- Calculate feeder fund capital events based on cash activity, cash balances, and cash reserve guidelines, and communicate decisions with clients and their investors.
- Monitor investor notices rendered by the iCapital technology platform for all capital events and coordinate with investor relations for exceptions on funding activity.
- Manage vendor relationships with third-party fund administrators, tracking deliverables and escalating inconsistencies.
- Support ad-hoc requests from various teams within the organization, including fund data requests, investor requests, and client requests.
- Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a weekly basis.
- Review limited partnership agreements, PPMs, and side letter accounts for various arrangements.
- Assist with audit inquiries and provide support for year-end audited financial statements for each feeder fund.
- Contribute to the SOC-1 annual audit process.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting/audit roles, with fund administration experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluency in English required for verbal and written communication.
- Able to effectively escalate and communicate within a team setting.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Possess a passion for innovative technology applications.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high volumes of work under pressure.
- Able to think creatively around process improvement.
- Able to work independently and autonomously.
