Job Description

The School Operations Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing operational teams, managing facilities, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. This requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to optimizing the school's support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise operational teams and external providers, including maintenance, IT, cleaning, catering, and reception.
  • Foster continuous improvement in operations, enhancing efficiency and support services.
  • Collaborate across departments to address operational challenges and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate resource procurement with the central procurement department.
Facilities Management:

The School Operations Director will ensure facilities are safe and conducive to learning, overseeing maintenance, IT, and external vendors for repairs and facility upgrades.

Health and Safety:

The successful candidate will keep safety policies updated and ensure staff are trained, leading fire safety training in coordination with senior leadership.

Auxiliary Services Management:

This role involves overseeing auxiliary services such as catering, afterschool programs, and transportation, managing external vendor relationships with central financial team support.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with:

  • Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary operational teams, preferably in a school or corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management, health and safety regulations, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships across all levels.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to manage complex operations and implement solutions effectively.
  • Fluency in English is essential for effective communication within the school community.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for career growth and development within our global network of schools.
