About the Role

Shiji Group seeks a Data Privacy Specialist to join its Legal and Privacy Team. This role requires an individual with a passion for solving complex privacy challenges in a pragmatic way and translating laws and regulations into business-enabling actions.

The successful candidate will work closely with Shiji Group's external Data Protection Officer and serve as the first point of contact for all data privacy matters.

Responsibilities
  • Privacy Policy Development: Develop and maintain privacy policies and procedures that align with global and local regulations.
  • Compliance Management: Monitor and analyze country-specific privacy legislations and data protection regulations, ensuring compliance requirements are implemented.
  • Privacy Impact Assessments: Conduct PIAs to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks associated with new projects and initiatives.
  • Data Transfer Management: Improve and maintain cross-border data transfer legal frameworks, ensuring data is handled securely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Review and negotiate data protection terms and data processing agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Incident Management: Develop and implement incident response plans to address data breaches and other privacy-related incidents.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Privacy role in a multinational company, preferably in the tech/SaaS industry.
  • IAPP certification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT).
  • Experience interpreting and implementing data protection legislation and regulations (GDPR, CCPA, PIPL).
  • Familiarity with One Trust and/or similar solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of IT and security principles, including encryption, hashing, and tokenization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
