About the Role

This Localization Quality Assurance Game Tester will join our dedicated Localization Quality Assurance team, ensuring that the localized game is of the highest standard, free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately translated into the target language. As a key member of our multilingual project team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with a global project team to achieve common goals.
  • IDentify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors to maintain linguistic accuracy.
  • E nsure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines for optimal performance.
  • Document errors and issues, providing actionable improvement suggestions.
  • Maintain accurate translation within context, ensuring consistency in terminology and imagery.
  • IDentify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
  • Write detailed reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation tasks.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Our Localization QA team performs rigorous language checks on a range of unreleased games for various platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PS5, Wii, PS Vita, DS, Switch, VR, and mobile/tablet devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you will work on top-tier gaming titles for some of the world's leading publishers.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • Fluency in Finnish and English.
  • No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training and support.
  • A strong understanding of Finnish culture and nuances.
  • Proficiency in computer software, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with using diverse software, applications, and websites.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills within project teams.
  • The ability to provide evidence of your right to work in Portugal. If you are located outside Portugal, a freelance contract will be applied.

Working Conditions

This role offers:

  • Remote work flexibility.
  • Project-based work arrangements.
  • Flexible working hours between 08:00 and 17:00 Portugal Time, Mondays through Fridays.
  • A minimum of 4 hours of work per day (dependent on project availability).

We also welcome multilingual candidates who may be eligible for full-time positions, requiring onsite work at our studio in Braga, Portugal.
