About the Job

We are currently looking for a Team Coordinator to join our manufacturing team at TN Portugal. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the success of our operations by coordinating team activities, managing production processes, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating team activities, training new employees, and implementing production tools to enhance efficiency. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for growth, and implementing changes to improve productivity, quality, and employee engagement.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate team activities, including task assignment and production objective setting.
  2. Train new employees on safety rules, equipment operation, and 5S practices.
  3. Implement production tools, such as Visual support, JIT, 5S, Kanban, to improve efficiency.
  4. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing changes.
  5. Facilitate open communication between shifts, focusing on product performance indicators (OEE, Through-Puts, FTT, PPM's, customer incidents/alerts, scrap, breakdowns, TRIR, accidents/security incidents).
  6. Maintain process control, utilizing Preventive Maintenance, Poka-yoke Control, Startup Checklist, LPA.
  7. Lead and motivate team members, providing initial support for personal issues and facilitating data collection for production/engineering purposes.
  8. Ensure adherence to control plans through daily audits.

Requirements:

  • Secondary Education, preferably with technical-professional training or a degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is valued.
  • Problem-solving skills, knowledge of quality tools, and Lean Manufacturing principles are preferred.
  • Fluency in Portuguese is required.
