About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analytics Lead to join our ELMAC BAI Team in Lisbon. In this vital role, you will lead Commercial Insights and Forecasting activities for key Amgen brands across Europe, Canada, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing primary market research, secondary analytics, short and long-term product forecasts, and brand performance tracking.
  • Exhibiting leadership and expertise in addressing business issues and opportunities through relevant analytical approaches.
  • Representing ELMAC/O-US Insights in the Global Brand Team and being the point-of-contact for brand analytics across the region.
  • Providing an objective and meticulous point of view on sales forecasts and product performance while collaborating with Global & Affiliates Marketing, Value & Access, Medical, and Forecasting teams.
  • Developing and maintaining a regional forecasting patient model and supporting affiliates in forecasting.
  • Driving brand-specific performance management in ELMAC and ensuring that marketing assumptions are appropriately linked to sales performance metrics and targets.
  • Implementing primary market research projects, understanding the needs of the Global Brand team and affiliates, and contributing to building the ELMAC insight generation plan.
  • Translating primary market research findings into practical insights and influencing the team's decision-making accordingly.
  • Improving team capabilities by implementing new research tools.
  • Leading and elevating best-in-class country BAI community across the region.
  • Supporting ad-hoc business development, licensing, and case evaluations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctorate, Bachelor's or Master's degree and in-depth pharmaceutical market analysis and/or business planning experience ideally within at least one of the key ELMAC markets (Germany, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, or UK).
  • Fluency in English, with excellent oral and written presentation skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business questions and needs into relevant research plans and synthesize multiple data sources to answer business questions.
  • Strong leadership experience in delivering results, shaping the future, and developing capabilities in BAI.
  • Champions new innovative methodologies and tools and leads by influence to strengthen the ELMAC country community.
  • Prior technical experience crafting or handling KPI and performance metrics.
  • Expertise in market analysis and forecasting (forecasting models, knowledge frameworks for qualitative competitive analysis, forecasting, and analytical tools).
  • A deep understanding of the markets, brands, and broader context (internal and external) of the business and the ability to translate market research insights and findings into realistic, impactful recommendations.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
