Join our team in Porto as our new Tax Specialist and make your mark on our organization

In your Tax Specialist role, you also will do the following:

- **Review accounting records **, **document content **and **applicability **of **Indirect TAX **and **legal regulations **;
- **Preparation **of **account reconciliations **and **monthly VAT journal entries **;
- **Prepare indirect tax returns **as well as necessary **compliance checks **;
- Liaise with internal counterparts in order to review individual transactions and proceed with any necessary corrections;
- Liaise with the Indirect Tax manager and local Accounting regarding VAT queries;
- Develop expertise and increase process efficiency and compliance by continuously monitoring, identifying and implementing improvements;
- Assure clear and complete documentation for all procedures.

You are best equipped for this job if you have:

- A **degree **in **Accounting **, **Finance **, **Economics **or similar field of studies;
- **Experience **in **Indirect Taxes **, **Accounting **or a similar role, preferably in an international and multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of VAT compliance is an advantage;
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel;
- Flexibility to identify and adopt process changes that increase efficiency and compliance;
- Fluency in English.
