Hiire is helping one of its clients hire the first IT Manager to oversee the operations of a new factory in northern Portugal.
**About the Role**
Are you passionate about bridging IT Manager to drive operational excellence? As an IT Manager, you’ll ensure seamless IT operations, support critical manufacturing systems, and align with global standards. This role offers the chance to innovate, solve complex challenges, and make a tangible impact on a dynamic production environment.
**What You'll Do**
Lead and Manage IT Operations:

- Oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, communication platforms, and access control systems;
- Ensure business continuity by maintaining backups, managing licenses, and supporting ERP systems;
- Manage wired and wireless network traffic to meet site needs.

Drive Continuous Improvement:

- Optimize the performance of IT systems to ensure uninterrupted production;
- Maintain and enhance security in compliance with ISO 27001 and GDPR;
- Lead training initiatives for users with varying levels of IT expertise.

Collaborate and Innovate:

- Represent the FEL Site in global IT forums;
- Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of IT solutions;
- Implement global IT projects locally with precision.

Strategic and Operational Oversight:

- Develop and manage IT budgets and forecasts;
- Create documentation, reports, and procedures to enhance operational transparency;
- Ensure compliance with global and local regulations, including cleanroom standards for production.

**What We're Looking For**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, IT Engineering, or Software Development;
- 5+ years of IT-related experience, particularly in manufacturing (mandatory);
- Strong project management skills, especially in IT project implementation;
- Hands-on experience with SQL and CCNA certification;
- Leadership experience.

It would be a plus if you have:

- Knowledge of manufacturing protocols (e.g., Factory Talk, OPC Server);
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO27001);
- Experience with industrial computers, HMI interfaces, and PLC systems;
- Expertise in virtual environments like vSphere and Hyper-V.
