Ray.BBDM is currently managing a search process for SBM Offshore, based in Porto, looking for an Indirect Procurement Manager. Our client is a large multinational company that operates in the energy sector and is a leader in its niche market, operating in all phases of the product's life cycle, covering the entire value chain. Reporting to the Global Office Services Director, you will supervise a worldwide team of Departmental expenditure category managers and liaise with all heads of support functions (HR, Finance, IT, Insurance, Legal, Office Services, Technology, etc.) and Group Supply Chain.

Main responsibilities and functions:

- Within the “source to contract” and “purchase to pay” end-to-end processes, as Global NPR _(non-project related) _manager and as a key member of the Global office services, you will drive the ambition, the policy, and the governance of the newly created NPR sourcing activities, in the alignment of Global Business Services and the Corporate strategy.
- You will proactively lead to the Procurement Excellence Roadmap (development and delivery to accelerate procurement maturity).
- In your global role, you are responsible for NPR sourcing activities at the HQ level while ensuring that all these global categories work from a country perspective, considering all relevant local requirements.
- You will promote both internally (Global Business Services and Stakeholders) and externally (vendors management) the ambition, policy, and strategy of the Global NPR department.
- Lead a 3-year category vision/strategy/plan/transformation with the ambition to deliver a “best-in-class” NPR organisation.
- Build and lead a dedicated team of Category Managers and Buyers.
- Make sure that each of the categories’ strategies has a robust operational action plan to guarantee proper implementation and monitoring throughout the whole organisation.
- For each NPR category, perform and maintain the maturity assessment to identify the risks and opportunities.

Mandatory Job Requirements:

- Master’s degree in SCM or Business Administration,
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Procurement, with a proven background in defining strategic vision and leading operational execution within a multi-national organisation,
- Proven track record in global procurement transformation, purchasing and vendor management,
- Fluency in English.
- Good knowledge of ISO 20400 and 26000, as well as supplier risk and compliance,
- Expert in category management and negotiations,
- Experience in process improvement and internal control,
- Experience in or exposure to ERP implementation is a plus,
- Expert in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerBI.

Other important requirements:

- Good knowledge of ISO 20400 and 26000, as well as supplier risk and compliance,
- Expert in category management and negotiations,
- Experience in process improvement and internal control,
- Experience in or exposure to ERP implementation is a plus,
- Expert in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerBI.
