Ray.BBDM is currently managing a search process for SBM Offshore, based in Porto, which is looking for an Indirect Procurement Category Manager - Corporate Services. Our client is a large multinational company that operates in the energy sector and is a leader in its niche market, operating in all phases of the product's life cycle, covering the entire value chain. Reporting to the Global Office Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing a category related to corporate services.

Main Responsibilities and Functions:

- Within the “source to contract” and “purchase to pay” end-to-end processes, as NPR Category Manager, you will support defining the indirect procurement strategy and translate it into operational plans you will implement.
- You have a pivotal role to play in defining adequate procedures in coordination with the Group Supply Chain.
- Considering the implementation of a new ERP system and new ways of working, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Company processes are fully understood and implemented across the various departments and functions from a procurement view. As such, a significant element of internal stakeholder management is required.
- Amongst your objectives, you will have to cooperate with Group Internal Audit to demonstrate that the level of internal control is improving and becomes satisfactory.
- You, therefore, become the business partner of choice of the Department Managers and Head of Functions (e.g., Group IT Director and any other relevant head of corporate functions) for the management of their categories and strategic/key vendors.
- You maintain a strategic relationship with the key vendors after the PO award.

Job requirements:

- Master’s degree in SCM or Business administration.
- Background in purchasing and vendor management.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Indirect Procurement Category Management within a multi-national organisation.
- Fluency in English.
